 The ACT series are an LVDT transducer which makes them probably the most robust position sensor available. LVDT displacement transducers have no contact across the position sensor element ensuring very long life. The unguided series of ACT LVDT displacement transducer benefit from the very best configuration in terms of longevity in that the armature (the moving part of the measurement sensor) is a separate component from the body. Correct installation of the transducers therefore ensures that there is no physical contact across the sensing element providing position measurement which is completely contact free, friction free and with infinite resolution. This type of LVDT displacement transducer configuration is appropriate for many applications but particularly high speed applications or where there are many millions of cycles for which the position sensor must make a measurement.

 The ACT series are an LVDT transducer which makes them probably the most robust position sensor available. The captive guided LVDT displacement transducer units have a male thread on the armature (the moving part of the measurement sensor) and a female thread on the body. The armature of the LVDT displacement transducer is guided in low friction bearings and is appropriate for measurement applications where it may be necessary to mount the transducer at both ends. This type of LVDT transducer is also appropriate for measurement of the size of components, on a production line for example.

 The ACT series are an LVDT transducer which makes them probably the most robust position sensor available. LVDT displacement transducer units have no contact across the position sensor element ensuring very long life. The captive guided spring return LVDT displacement transducer units have an internal spring which constantly pushes the armature (the moving part of the measurement sensor) outwards. The armature of the LVDT displacement transducer is guided in low friction bearings. This is appropriate for measurement applications where the contact surface may move well beyond the range of the position sensor thus making physical connection impossible. It is also appropriate for measurement of the size of components, on a production line for example.
